Film Fest To Highlight Latino Heritage Month
Edward James Olmos will present the first annual Los Angeles International Latino Film Festival, October 8-12.
The Festival is part of a month long series of events highlighting Latino Heritage Month in Los Angeles. The
five day festival will showcase Latino films from the U.S., Latin America, Spain and around the world. A tribute
to the late Mexican cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa is planned in addition to a closing night awards gala.
Olmos, who will serve as producer and artistic director of the festival, said “I am delighted to help to provide
a forum where Latino filmmakers can showcase their outstanding contributions to cinema, especially in Hollywood,
where their films can be seen by potential distributors.”
