Nominated for 2 Independent Spirit Awards last week, Kasi Lemmon’s “Eve’s
Bayou
” remained firmly on top of the Indie Top 10 list this past weekend.
With no new entries on EDI’s tracking service, the Top 10 included a sampling
of films from 1997

The Other Top 5 lists featured a couple of films (“Good Will Hunting” and
Wag the Dog“) which expanded this past weekend. Sony Classics’ “Ma Vie En
Rose
,” in its third week, remained solid with $77,304 for a per screen average
of $6,442, as did Sony’s “Afterglow” which earned $58,654 for a per screen
average of $219,669.
