"Christmas Oratorio" Best in Cinequest Fest

Cinequest, The San Jose Film Festival, wrapped on Wednesday with a
double-tribute to actor Jackie Chan and composer Elmer Bernstein. After a
closing night screening of “Super Cop” and “The Man With The Golden Arm“,
the jury awarded the Swedish film, “Christmas Oratorio” by Kjell-Ake
Andersson, Best Feature. The festival’s subtitle is “maverick, films,
technology”. Cinequest bestowed The Maverick Tribute Awards to Kevin
Spacey, Barry Sonnenfeld, Chan, John Schlesinger, Walter Murch and
Bernstein. All the recipients were in San Jose to receive their awards.
Attendance and box office receipts broke all previous records for the
festival. Over one hundred features, documentaries and shorts were

Audience Choice Award
“Clandestine Stories In Havana,” by Diego Musiak, Argentina/Cuba
“Defying Gravity,” by John Keitel.
