The Clearview Cinema Group, Inc. added two New Jersey, “arts and
independent film” theaters to its 158 screen chain. The latest additions
are the Clairidge Theatre and the Screening Zone, both located in
Montclair, New Jersey. These acquisitions give Clearview more locations and
screens than any other exhibitor in the area. The company plans to add 50
additional screens to its holdings.
Clearview began in 1994 with only 8 screens in four locations. “Our
objective is to be a major quality-oriented film exhibitor in the suburban
markets of New York and New Jersey and eventually throughout the
Northeast,” said A. Dale Mayo, CEO of Clearview.
