The brother of Kevin Spacey, a Rod Stewart impersonator by the name of Randy Fowler (thats Spacey’s real last name), is banking on the fact that the world really cares about whatever secrets may exist in the Oscar-winning actor’s closet. Calling his brother “a bit of a weirdo”, Fowler told the Sunday Mirror in London that he has written a book about Spacey that will tell the truth about the actor. He explained that he will shop it to publishers and cash in on the attention.
“I’m looking for 15 minutes of fame and this book will give me that,” the seemingly envious siblling, and drummer, told the paper. “I have never in the past used his name for my own career but hopefully this will help put me back on tour.”
Meanwhile in The Observer today, the paper profiled Spacey, who has settled into a new life in London theater. After re-capping the fact that Spacey is a notoriously private celebrity, the paper noted that as a result of the odd late-night incident in which the actor was somehow injured while walking his dog, he will face increasing heat from the aggressive British tabloids. Perhaps, The Observer noted lightly in conclusion, Spacey’s big secret is not such a big deal after all. Maybe the self-professed dog lover, the paper wrote, has actually been a cat lover all along.
