At the party celebrating the Los Angeles premiere of The World’s Fastest Indian, star Anthony Hopkins greeted a collection of motorcycle enthusiasts hanging outside. The film follows the true story of a New Zealander building a motorcyle to beat the land-speed world record. Magnolia Pictures (who was at the party in full force) will release it in select cities, in December.
Coincidentally, I was attending last year’s AFM when I first learned about the film, from the New Zealand Film office. So, in a way, it represents the essence of the link between AFI and AFM. This week’s premiere follows a great reception at the Toronto Film Festival.
