The third season of Nip/Tuck has wisely taken a break from episodes dedicated to the mystery of the killer “Carver.” Too many episodes became too dependent on the storyline, which begged the question, “what will become of the series once that subplot is resolved?” A pair of so-so episodes later, Nip/Tuck is back to what it does best: storylines about vanity, family politics, sexual exploration, and plastic surgery. Who knows when The Carver will return to conclude its story (sometime before the impending season finale), but fans of the show have taken to blogging for their guessing games.
There are still almost daily comments (because we re-launched the blog recently, even new comments are tagged as “Oct. 6, 2004”) landing on my year-old post about the second season finale. You can check it out now, and you can also see that one fan has taken to creating a brand-new blog devoted entirely to the subject of Nip/Tuck. I guess I’m about to lose some of my readers… but at least it takes some of the pressure off.
