IFC Set With "Duane Hopwood"

IFC Films is planning a regional release this month for Matt Mulhern‘s “Duane Hopwood.” The film, which premiered at Sundance in January, stars David Schwimmer and Janeane Garofalo and will roll out nationally later this year.

Described as the story of “Duane Hopwood (Schwimmer), a casino worker who hits a new emotional low when his visitation rights for his two young daughters are jeopardized after being arrested for drunken driving,” the film was produced by Lemore Syvan of Elevation Filmworks and Marc Turtletaub of Big Beach. “David Schwimmer captures Hopwood’s triumph of spirit as he battles personal demons in this engaging and very real film,” said IFC Films president Jonathan Sehring in a statement.
