Austin, TX – March 1, 2006 – The South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival is happy to announce a list of actors and performers confirmed to attend the event (March 10-18) in support of new features. Among them are actor/comedians Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Jeffrey Ross, Charles Nelson Reilly, Erykah Badu, and Questlove of the Roots.
Ray Romano will be attending the World Premiere of the documentary, ’95 Miles To Go,’ directed by Tom Caltabiano. Brad Garrett, Romano’s “Everybody Loves Raymond” co-star, will join the star and director for a Q&A following the screening on March 13 at the Paramount Theater. Popular stand-up comedian Jeffrey Ross will be at SXSW for the U.S. Premiere of his documentary, ‘Patriot Act: a Jeffrey Ross Home Movie,’ scheduled for March 14 at the ACC Theater. Legendary funnyman Charles Nelson Reilly will be on hand for the World Premiere of the film version of his one-man show, ‘The Life of Reilly.’ That screening is scheduled for March 12 at the ACC Theater. Meanwhile, R&B sensation Erykah Badu and hip-hop producer/musician Questlove will be at SXSW for the World Premiere of Andrew Shapter’s documentary, ‘Before the Music Dies,’ on March 12 at the Paramount Theater.
“We understand the power of live performance and how it can be captured on film,” says SXSW Film Festival Producer Matt Dentler. “And with all of these examples, some very talented performers have participated in some very powerful new films.”
