For the first time in recent memory, I saw a television ad that actually had a credit sequence.
The new Nissan Pathfinder campaign, which features a group of douchebags who decide only to make left turns to “see where it takes them” is directed (we are told in the opening credits) by none other than Errol Morris.
It’s no secret that Morris, named “one of the brightest talents in advertising today” by Ad Week, makes quite a living creating television ads.
On his Web site, he proudly posts an archive of dozens, maybe hundreds of ads he created. Morris may be the closest thing going to an advertising superstar.
But a creidit sequence?
