UT alumnus Ryan Polomski’s award-winning documentary focuses on the trial of Bastrop resident and death row inmate Rodney Reed, who was originally charged with the rape and murder of 20-year-old Stacy Stites of Giddings in April 1996, and was convicted by the court of Bastrop County in May 1998. The documentary examines possible evidence that was neglected in the crime scene investigation in Bastrop. Funds from this screening benefit Rodney Reed’s family.
