Globe and Mail: Black market below the surface at TIFF

There’s a black market operating under the surface of the Toronto International Film Festival. With many screenings sold out and Gala tickets hard to come by, a cottage industry has sprung up on e-Bay, with sellers hawking everything from tickets to dinner reservations. A pair of Festival Passes – good for 50 movies each – had sold for $1,678.65 (Canadian), meaning the seller had turned a profit of over six hundred dollars. Mark Medley reports.
