Getting ‘Lost’ in HIFF

Getting 'Lost' in HIFF

The countdown begins for my trip to the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF), which kicks off on Thursday night. Besides a strong lineup of films, there are a few special seminars and events for attendees. One that makes great use of the local infrastructure is the “Lost Seminar: Television as the New Cinema.” Revolved around the hit ABC TV series, Lost, cast and crew will gather on Saturday, October 21, for a discussion about the show (which films in Hawaii). Other special events include: “An Evening with Kevin Smith,” “An Evening with Ken Watanabe,” a seminar hosted by cinematographer Matthew (The Fountain, Inside Man) Libatique, a concert performance by Dan The Automator, and much more.
