While settling into my new digs as Executive Director at IMAGE in Atlanta, I’ve been woefully behind in my blogging.
This is due in part to the inordinate amount of time I’ve spent in meetings, engaging with the film industry and community, talking with press, planning for the 19th Annual OUT ON FILM (Nov 10-16) at the newly re-opened, independent Plaza Theatre and strategizing with both the staff and board about the future of IMAGE and the 31st Atlanta Film Festival. (Let me just say, right now, that I am optimisitic and excited about the direction of things in Atlanta! I look forward to announcing many of our new initiatives in the near future.)
The other reason I’ve been admittedly lax in my blogging has been due to the fact that, as IMAGE’s Executive Director, the opinions I express in this blog may be viewed as a reflection of the organization itself.
Whether or not this is fair, I understand that henceforth, I need to weigh carefully the content presented here.
While I may never achieve prodigious Dentleresque output, I do intend to start blogging with more regularity in the coming days and weeks starting, now.
