Guiding Light, America’s oldest soap opera will be taking aim at younger viewers next month when it introduces a Marvel Comics-created superhero on Nov. 1.

In the first-ever comic-soap crossover, Marvel’s mightiest heroes (and villains) meet some of daytime drama’s steamiest characters. The debut and origin of Springfield’s first costumed crime-fighter will be told on air on the November 1st episode of Guiding Light.

Marvel Comics said that it will cross-promote the storyline with an eight-page insert to appear in several of its comic books in which the Guiding Light characters will interact with Marvel superheroes.
