GDT at ‘EW’

GDT at 'EW'

I love Guillermo del Toro. He’s such a talent, and I’ve been lucky enough to have the occasional one-on-one chat with the Mexican auteur. He’s a fascinating filmmaker, a brilliant speaker, a former Austin resident, and just an all-around fun hang. Perhaps one of the best memories of my Cannes 2006, was when I reconnected with him at the Pan’s Labyrinth after-party and he greeted me with “I saw your blog!” To which, I could only say, “I saw your new movie!” Indeed, Pan’s Labyrinth was one of the highlights of that festival for me, and it’s definitely one of the best films (foreign-language or otherwise) that I’ve seen this year. For Entertainment Weekly, GDT has responded to some write-in questions (mostly about the upcoming Hellboy sequel), in the third installment of EW‘s series with him. In the meantime, plan on seeing Pan’s the minute you get a chance!
