iW NEWS | Foresight adds Kafka and "Hangman" to Lineup

Foresight Unlimited has added two new additions to its Cannes slate, including an adaptation of Franz Kafka‘s novella “Metamorphosis,” and the murder thriller “Hangman,” which is about a sex crimes detective whose mysterious childhood disappearance becomes her key to solving a series of murders.

The film will give a unique view into Franz Kafka’s life as he wrote his masterpiece, revealing to the audience Kafka’s emotions through a parallel universe. With principle photography expected for this summer, “Metamorphosis” is being written and directed by Limor Diamant, produced by Ram Bergman (“La Misma Luna“) and has Daniel Bruhl (“Goodbye Lenin“) and Anna Paquin (“X-Men” series) slated to star. “Hangman,” still in need of a female lead, has Harold Becker (“Domestic Disturbance“) set to direct. Mark Damon (“Monster“), Foresight’s founder will produce.

These films join others in the Foresight lineup such as “It’s Alive” with Bijou Phillips, “The Ledge,” “Emperor of Michigan,” and the recently announced “Smashing Machine” with Jean-Claude Van Damme. [Ashley Adams]
