Two SXSW alums, from two different years, are enjoying the end of a successful week in New York City. Eunhee Cho’s beautiful and hypnotic Inner Circle Line (which won a special jury prize at its North American Premiere during SXSW 2006) recently won the “Adrienne Shelly Director’s Grant” during the IFP Market. This includes a $10,000 prize. Meanwhile, Gary Hustwit’s SXSW 2007 world premiere, Helvetica, was a smash success during its Opening Weekend at New York’s IFC Center. The design doc earned over $20,000 on the one screen, making it one of the best opening averages for any doc this year!
