One film high on my to-see list (don’t judge), that I have a much smaller chance of seeing is Adria Petty‘s Paris, Not France – the documentary which “attempts to explore the Paris [Hilton] phenomenon and how it defines this moment in culture.” Spout Blog discovered that Paris Hilton and her team have successfully pressured the Toronto International Film Festival into canceling all but one screening of the film.

The story made it to Page Six this morning, and they discovered Paris’s reasoning wasn’t about fear the film portrayed her negatively. In fact, Hilton is a partner with the documentary and will even be attending the screening at TIFF to support it. Paris’ rep Jason Moore told Page Six: “We wanted to create more buzz – create some hype… We felt the impact would be more extreme if we had one screening.”
