Vet New York publicist Emma Griffiths has established her own company, Emma Griffiths PR. Griffiths, who has worked at established public relations agencies including 42West, Falco Ink, Jeremy Walker +Associates, and Sophie Gluck & Associates, is offering services for theatrical, festival, unit, and events, in addition to management of filmmakers.
The company’s initial client roster includes films from the indie studios Arthouse Films (“Herb and Dorothy,” out June 5th), and Variance Films (“Nursery University,” out April 24th”), in addition to three projects from IFC: the docu-series “Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer’s Cut), the original series “Bollywood Hero,” and the feature documentary “New World Order.” Beyond film, she is also publicizing “From the Ashes,” the comic book mini-series by Bob Fingerman (“Bottomfeeder”), which has a street date of May 6th (IDW).
“I have spent most of my career as an agency publicist but now feel that through my new consultancy I will have more opportunities to work with studios and filmmakers as a collaborative one stop shop to provide a no-nonsense, bespoke approach for any film or television project,” commented Griffiths about the new venture in a statement. “Over the last decade, I have enjoyed working on projects ranging from small budget horror films, to award-winning documentaries and indie films, to bigger studio projects, and look forward to providing new publicity solutions for all clients needs in an affordable manner.”
