Four In Focus: 7 Questions For Outfest's Newbies

Outfest 2009 kicked off this weekend, beginning ten days of celebrating LGBT cinema in Los Angeles. The 27th edition of the festival brings 181 films from 25 countries – four of which were selected as Outfest’s “Four In Focus,” a special designation for the festival’s most promising directorial debuts. Nancy Kissam’s “Drool”, H.P. Mendoza’s “Fruit Fly”, Jason Bushman’s “Hollywood, je t’aime” and E.E. Cassidy’s “We Are The Mods,” are the chosen four, and indieWIRE asked each filmmaker seven questions about their work and the challenges facing LGBT filmmakers today. Check out their answers:
