The terrific, and only recently-available legally, series Spaced is now on Hulu. This British show is so clever, so smart, and so warped that it is also a bit tricky to describe. The story of two slacker roommates and their eccentric friends, the series was a cult phenomenon that helped launch Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright into U.S. attention spans (they would later make the films Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz). Whether this launch on Hulu is tied to Comic-Con or not, it’s great geek news and easily worth your time. Where to begin? Here’s one of my personal favorite episodes:

Each episode has very sharp movie references. The RoboCop homage at the opening of this one, is great.

I bought this DVD set a while back and it is definitely up high on the list of favorite shows from the UK.
