ACI Decides to "Stay Cool"

American Cinema International has just announced that it has acquired the rights to the dramedy “Stay Cool” from Initiate Productions. The film is written by Mark Polish and directed by his brother Michael. The film stars Hilary Duff, Winona Ryder, Chevy Chase, Sean Astin, Josh Holloway, and Jon Cryer. The film follows a successful author, Henry McCarthy (Mark Polish), as he returns to his hometown to give a speech to graduating seniors. When he goes home, he falls in love with an old flame, Scarlet Smith (Ryder). Things get a bit complicated when a sexy high school senior Shasta O’Neil (Duff) asks McCarthy to the prom. ACI President Chavonne O’Shaughnessy said in a prepared statement, “’Stay Cool’ is a sharply written and directed film, eliciting great performances from an amazing cast. The chemistry amongst the ensemble cast really brings the story to life and delivers both funny and dramatic takes on a peculiar set of circumstances.” [Bryce J Renninger]
