CFC and SHORTSNONSTOP Name Winners

The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) and SHORTSNONSTOP have announced the winner of their fourth mobile movie festival. Chosen from ten finalists, the winner of a $1500 prize is Daniel Faigle’s “A TV Movie” (Germany), in which a TV set attempts to watch TV. Faigle’s short will, as a result, now be available on Tellus’s wireless, ADSL, and TV Video-on-Demand clients and at the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival awards pre-show in June 2010.

The runners-up for the award are: Milan DelVeccio’s “Earwaxers” (U.S.), Richard Douglas’s “Southern Wall” (Canada), Dan Knight’s “Desperately Seeking Dinosaurs” (U.K.), Ben Krolick’s “Barry” (U.K.), David Madry’s “Faett” (Germany), Elijah Marchand’s “Noisy Day” (Canada), Rejeeb Mohammed’s “Pen” (India), Charles Nichols’s (U.K.), and Jaime Waese’s “Family Portrait” (Canada).

SHORTSNONSTOP runs online year-round, on its site, www.shortsnonstop.com, where all of the finalists can currently be viewed. The fest accepts submissions on an ongoing basis. Now in its second year, it rewards a $1500 cash prize each quarter selected by an international jury. The next prize will be awarded April 15, 2010.
