Fabienne Berthaud’s “Pieds nus sur les limaces” (Lily Sometimes) has been announced as the closing night film of the 2010 Director’s Fortnight, joining 24 films already announced for the Cannes program last week. The film will be presented on Friday, May 22, 2010, at 7:30pm at the Theater Croisette (Palais Stephanie) as the 42nd Director’s Fortnight comes to a close.
Ludivine Sagnier and Diane Kruger lead the cast of the film, which is Berthaud’s second feature film after 2005’s “Frankie.” The plot as described by the Director’s Fortnight:
“Lily is like no one else. She lives in a whimsical universe in harmony with nature at her mother’s country home. Her older sister, Clara, married to an up-and-coming attorney, lives and works in Paris. When their mother dies, Clara has to upset her life and job to look after Lily. Under her influence, Clara re-examines her life and gets a taste of a certain freedom.”
The Director’s Fortnight runs May 13th – 23rd, 2010.
