From its sharply written and adorably executed opening monologue, to the return of many-a-classic female SNL cast member and many-a-classic sketch (“Debbie Downer,” “NPR,” “Bronx Beat,” “Lawrence Well”… two of which I guess didn’t make it to the show but were enjoyed by moi in my typical “Sunday Morning Delayed” way of viewing the show), Betty White’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” was one for the ages, and an empowering moment for octogenarians everywhere:

Debbie Downer and Bronx Beat, alas, were not on the show. They only made it as far as dress rehearsal.

Highlight was Maya Rudolph as Whitney Houston.
