EPIX Becomes Available to Cox, Mediacom, and Charter Subscribers

The online VOD distributor EPIX is making its EpixHD.com website available to subscribers of Cox Communications and Mediacom Communications. Charter Communications subscribers will be granted access in July. The deal will bring a slate of over 150 HD and SD movies to users each month, including “Precious,” “Shutter Island,” and “Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself.” EPIX is a joint venture between Viacom’s Paramount Pictures, MGM Studios, and Lionsgate. Commenting on the announcement EPIX President and CEO Mark Greenberg noted, ““As we continue to define the future of multi-screen entertainment consumption, we are thrilled EPIX and EpixHD.com will be universally accessible to Cox, Charter and Mediacom customers. We are inspired by the leadership our distribution partners have shown and impressed with their successful efforts to make subscriber entitlement operational in a matter of weeks.”
