Amazon’s VOD service has been quietly building steam over the last two years. For a variety of consumers, it could be the best option, allowing access to movie and TV content over many devices (TiVo, Roku, etc.) that you may already own. Amazon is also in the price-discount business, something that has (somewhat infamously) helped bolster its MP3 store over the last year. The VOD store has also offered steep discounts (stay tuned, we’ll have some sales on there this summer) to help build more awareness and consumption of the service. Now, for a limited timed, you can take advantage of a $10 coupon by following the Amazon VOD Twitter account:
The promotion, which runs through June 30, gives users $10 off purchases of certain TV shows that are available through the online retailer’s streaming service. The content, from programmers like NBC, Fox, USA and SyFy, includes shows like House, The Office, 30 Rock, Royal Pains and Battlestar Galactica. To get the discount, users that begin following the AmazonVideo account, or are already following it, will be sent a direct message (DM) with a unique discount code. Codes are good through the end of the month, and are only for use within the U.S.
