Fox Searchlight is developing “Stoker,” a Wentworth Miller (“Prison Break”) written script to star Carey Mulligan as an eccentric teen whose estranged uncle comes home after her father’s death. Jodie Foster is in talks to star with Mulligan, and Scott Free Productions (who teamed up with Searchlight on indie comedy “Cyrus”) is in talks to produce. Searchlight also has Mulligan in their upcoming “Never Let Me Go” (with Keira Knightley), to be released in October. Known name actors were a vital ingredient in Searchlight’s prior specialty films “Juno” and “Little Miss Sunshine” reaching commercial success.
