Just so you know, To Sir With Love II has just been released on region 1 DVD through Sony’s manufacturing on demand program. I’m not sure how it compares with the Warner Archive program, but it is pretty neat.

For anyone that enjoys classic films and the history of the movies, you owe to yourself to see DIRECTED BY JOHN FORD. Ford was one of the pioneers of cinema and his career is well chronicaled in this insightful documentry.

Mr. Bogdanovich:

I saw At Long Last Love again via Netfilx streaming (not an easy film to see, by the way) and the aspect ratio seemed a bit tight to me. The Internet Movie Database lists it as 1.85:1, but did you perhaps shoot it open matte? I saw it at the Music Hall in its initial engagement and I could swear it looked more like 1.37:1, tipping its top hat to the period.
