Leaves of Grass Gets A Theatrical Release After All

Turns out Leaves of Grass isn’t going straight to DVD, as previously reported; it will have a limited release on September 17th in New York City and Tulsa (where actor-writer-director Tim Blake Nelson grew up).

Almost a year ago, pre-Toronto Film Fest, TOH interviewed Nelson on directing Norton (who plays across from himself, as two brothers, one a pot dealer, the other a philosophy teacher), his filming process, and showing the film to the Coens. Nelson describes the film as being about “the unpredictable journey of a guy who learns that you really can’t exert control over your own life.” It sits at 50% on the Tomatometer with decidedly mixed reviews.
