Wes Anderson Picks Top Twelve Criterion Titles

Thompson on Hollywood

Most of them are black-and-white, three are from the great Shohei Imamura (and they are not Vengeance is Mine) and not surprisingly, Anderson has excellent taste: Max Ophuls’ The Earrings of Madame De, Robert Bresson’s Au Hasard Balthazar and Bunuel’s Exterminating Angel are also must-see faves of mine.
