I was living in Texas when Eliot Spitzer resigned. Honestly, his career meant very little to me, and I couldn’t care less that he was resigning from his post as Governor of New York. Despite my later relocation to New York, I still never cared about the plight of Eliot Spitzer. It wasn’t until I saw this new film, that I started to become invested in Spitzer’s history. Alex Gibney’s new documentary, Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer, has been available on cable VOD and iTunes for several weeks. However, the film will begin its theatrical release on November 5 and you should see it in either venue, because it is easily one of the best documentaries of this year. The trailer:
