Three new events, including a conversation with Halle Berry, have been added to the full slate of Special Presentations to be offered during this year’s AFI Fest, that takes place November 4 – 11 in Hollywood.
Prior to Berry’s event, the festival will host Cinema’s Legacy with Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin on November 7. As part of the ongoing Cinema’s Legacy series, “The Social Network” scribe will take part in a conversation and Q&A moderated by AFI Scholar-in-Residence Jim Hosney. A screening of Alan J. Pakula’s “All the President’s Men,” will run after the event.
Berry will make an appearance at an event titled On Acting – A Conversation with Halle Berry. The Academy Award® winning actress will discuss her career and influences, and talk about her latest role in Geoffrey Sax’s “Frankie & Alice,” which she produced.
The third event, a secret screening, is rumored to feature an upcoming major Hollywood release, the title of which will be made live on November 9.
These new Special Presentations join a crop of previously announced ones that include a 3D Bootcamp, presented by the Sony 3D Technology Center, and The Lost Angeles Times Young Hollywood roundtable with Carey Mulligan, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield.
