Trailer Watch: Two in the Wave, Godard/Truffaut Documentary

“I always thought the cinema was great but lacked sincerity and we ought to do it better,” said Francois Truffaut.

“There were myths to be destroyed,” said Jean-Luc Godard. “Therefore we had to kill those myths for cinema to be reborn.”

Boring!

Don’t waste your time. This movie is not as inventive nor as playful as its subject matter. A total bore! Badly told with dull voice over, like an educational film from the 1950s. The only thing good is some of the archival footage of Trufffaut and Godard.
