Chris Tucker Attached To Sale Of Spec Script 'The Rabbit'

Cinemas have been free of Chris Tucker‘s glass shattering screech since 2007’s “Rush Hour 3,” but it looks like that may soon change.

The, uh, “selective” actor/comedian is attached to a spec script sale to Warner Bros. for a project called “The Rabbit” about which details are non-existent. It’s said to fall in the vein of “Midnight Run,” was written by the unknown Micah Barnett and has Dan Lin (“Sherlock Holmes“) producing. That’s about all we can tell you really.

Tucker tends to take long breaks between films (six years elapsed between “Rush Hour 2” and “Rush Hour 3”) and he really only seems to gear up for a film when the mood strikes and the paycheck is worth it. The last project that we recall having his name attached was back in 2007. It was for a film called “Mr. S: My Life With Frank Sinatra,” based on the memoirs of the crooner’s valet, George Jacobs, with Tucker slated to play the role and Brett Ratner sitting in the director’s chair. Obviously, that project went nowhere. Can’t say we’re overly excited about “The Rabbit,” but hey, at least it’s not “Rush Hour 4.” [Deadline]
