In the past couple of years I’ve taken a number of films to countless festivals. Now I’m starting to realize how fortunate I was that doing so never involved more than one film at a time. I’m currently in day X (yes, it’s been a few weeks and I’ve already lost track of the days) of preparations, and my mind is a jumble of badges, housing, parties, announcement, publicists, sales agents, buyers, and a countless other parade of concerns and strategies that need to be fully formulated and dealt with before I step foot in Park City. Never have I loved my “To Do” list more. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be trying to use this blog to share some of my experiences I’m having in the lead up to the festival, whether it’s related to bigger questions of planning a daily strategy, smaller stories of trying to lock down housing (ie. the secret bidding wars of Sundance) or just little vignettes that I think may be helpful to people. And remember please become a fan of both CORMAN’S WORLD: EXPLOITS OF A HOLLYWOOD REBEL and SILVER TONGUES on Facebook for general updates on the films (including screening times, stills, and news).
