Ouat Media Names New Head of Acquisitions

Ouat Media Distribution, North America’s largest international short film distribution company, has named Brad Horvath their new head of acquisitions. Horvath’s previous work centered primarily around television and feature film production (notably Thom Fitzgerald’s AIDS drama “3 Needles”), and he also produced short films, music videos and documentaries (Dolly Parton literacy doc “The Book Lady”) that have been licensed to television and have screened at international film festivals.

“We are extremely excited to have Brad join our team”, said Fred Joubaud, General Manager of Ouat Media. “It’s time to take our acquisitions group to a new level and Brad’s energy, professionalism and depth of experience will allow us to do just that”.

Horvath will be attending the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Utah later this month, along with Fred Joubaud and Romen Podzyhun, Chairman and CEO of Channel Zero. “I am looking forward to attending Sundance and other film festivals this year, but I would also like to remind filmmakers that they can submit their films to our Toronto office for distribution consideration throughout the year,” Horvath said.

Ouat Media is part of the Channel Zero family of companies.
