Excessive Lightning, Chisled Pecs, Sci-Fi Goop & Gods Lore Light Up ‘Thor’ Super Bowl Spot

Excessive Lightning, Chisled Pecs, Sci-Fi Goop & Gods Lore Light Up 'Thor' Super Bowl Spot

At this point, we’re not holding out judgement on any of these kinds of films, hell, these are :30 second Super Bowl spots. The idea is definitely: have a beer, lean back and enjoy yourself, right? But, gotta say, the trailer for Kenneth Branagh‘s “Thor” is definitely less impressive than “Captain America,” “Battle: Los Angeles” and hell, even “Transformers 3.”

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg, and Colm Feore, “Thor” hits theaters on May 6th, 2011. Maybe we’re not blown away because the footage doesn’t seem that new. Or maybe it’s just because it looks like an odd melange of sci-fi, Shakespearian deity mumbo jumbo and earthbound love stories.

It’s a 30 second long trailer! Reserve judgement until you’ve seen the film.

Finally, someone else feels the same way that I do. Thankyou Cirkusfolk! I have been saying that it looks cheesy and cheap like Clash of the Titans. I don’t see how people can compare this to Iron Man at all. All of the characters in this movie and the scenery look like plastic to me. Everything about this movie screams cheesy and cheap.

This looks horribly cheesy and more along the lines of Clash of the Titans than Iron Man. Gonna suck.
