If you aren’t one of the many folks making their way to SXSW between March 11-20, you must get your arthouse fix from I Saw The Devil. This Korean epic is a brilliantly-crafted revenge tale, and while it may not become an overnight success, I’m convinced this will reach cult status over time. The film is the latest exercise in genre extremes by Kim Jee-Won, a master of provocative bloodletting. In his latest film, a widower sets out to unleash hellish revenge on the serial killer who took his pregnant wife. What unfolds is a series of unforgettable sequences, many of which will live in your memory long after the credits roll.
