Opening Night of
Apocalypse According to Doris offers an offbeat story about a “New Way” of knowing. Both funny and emotional, it deals with the paranormal and conscious awakening, challenging us about who we are, how we act, and the meaning of existence. Doris channels news of the upcoming “Apocalypse” as an unscrupulous reporter infiltrates and has his world turned upside-down while the secret of his life is exposed by this amazing and mysterious woman. It was in and around Los Angeles and Boron, CA., and surrounding high desert wilderness areas offering fittingly mysterious setting for the film.

Their 2011 season will feature special screening events, appearances by visiting filmmakers and panel discussions on matters that effect us all.
The Spirit Quest Film Festival takes place in April 15 – April 17, 2011, hosted by the Edinboro Film Series.
Q: What is the Spirit Quest Film Festival?
A: Spirit Quest is an International film festival that takes place in the town of Edinboro, Pennsylvania each year. The three day event features screenings, presentations by filmmakers and awards for the best films and screenplays in several categories. The focus is on films that reflect the best (and sometimes the worst) of the human experience. The next Spirit Quest Film Festival takes place April 15 – 17, 2011 on the campus of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, at the Frank G. Pogue Student Center.
Q: When did this thing start?
A: The Spirit Quest Film Festival was founded in 2009, by Greg Ropp (President of the Eerie Horror Film Festival) and his business associate Matthew Johnson.
The Spirit Quest Film Festival was founded in January of 2009, in order to bring thought provoking, entertaining and uplifting works of cinema to our audiences in Northwestern Pennsylvania.
Created and maintained by film festival veterans we hope to provide our selected filmmakers with the exposure and attention they deserve for all of their hard work.
Spirit Quest will feature three days of independent film screenings from around the world (including several produced right here in the Erie County region of Pennsylvania), with themes focusing on the human experience.
Dramas, documentaries, comedies, animation, music videos, experimental pieces and more will be shown over the weekend of our event.
