France and Brazil CoPro Workshop in Cannes

A Franco-Brazilian co-production workshop will be held in Cannes May 13. It is being offered by the French film board CNC and Brazil’s Ancine cinema agency to introduce French and Brazilian producers to one another and to network with potential partners — broadcasters, distributors and sales companies. This follows on the heels of the French-Brazilian co-production treaty which was signed in Cannes last year.

Brazil has emerged as one of Latin America’s fastest-building film forces. Rio Filme offers investment support, the country offers great locations and has enticed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 to shoot in Rio itself and Paraty a colonial coastal town.

Visit the Brazilian Pavilion to get an English language catalog of the chosen projects for this year’s Cannes.
