Filling a vacuum for an international sales agent coming out of the deep movie culture of Argentina, FilmSharks brings not only Latin American but world cinema to the market. They also handle several back catalogs of some of the finest production companies such as Disney-backed Patagonik, Alta Vista, Pol-Ka , Amiguetes and Eddie Saeta.
In Cannes they have announced their newest acquisition of Jorge Ramírez Suárez, the Berlin-based Mexican director and producer of Rabbit on the Moon (Distributed in North America by Capitol Films and sold in over 45 territories ), his newest crowd pleaser The Misfits ( AKA Los Inadaptados), winner of the Audience Award Guadalajara Film Festival 2011.
The four stories in this film have one thing in common – each is about a misfit: A lonely guy doesn’t want to live anymore until he meets a girl that introduces him to her family as a big porno star. An arrogant high class lawyer receives a lesson by being locked up in an elevator with a very authentic maid. A computer freak makes an online blind date with a stranger that turns out to be not that strange. Five elderly people at the brink of death prepare a bank robbery to feel alive again.
