Bradley Cooper Parle Tres Bien le Francais

Bradley Cooper Parle Tres Bien le Francais

For every Jane Fonda or Jodie Foster who speaks French well, serving as American good-will ambassadors in France, there are a host of others who mangle the language the way the French expect us to–just as Robert DeNiro did this year, calling his fellow Cannes jury members champignons (mushrooms) instead of compagnons (companions).

Quel surprise, alors, to find Limitless star Bradley Cooper, 36, appearing on French television speaking the language quite well. He learned French during his studies abroad staying with a family in Provence. He calls the success of The Hangover Part II (in France, Very Bad Trip 2) a “miracle.” Somehow I can’t quite get over him calling Todd Phillips a “metteur en scene.” Will there be a numero trois? Wait and see, he says.

Who does he admire? “Le roi” George Clooney. He’s just trying to get better by working with good directors, he says.

ugh… “her” original title.

Izzy, perhaps you’re confused because Anne has corrected the title. Here original title was different, and that is what was pointed out. I think the “annoying comment” poster went out of their way to mock their own pedanticism.

You can say, “Bradley Cooper parle très bien le français.” It’s perfectly correct. Don’t listen to the poster with the self-described “annoying comment” about your title. :)

le swoon.

would love to hear Zach Galifianakis speak in Greek, but he’s not really close to his Aegean roots.

I have a very annoying comment to make about your title. A french comment.
In french you would say : “Bradley Cooper parle très bien le français”, and not “… le français très bien”. There ! My inner-bitchy-frenchiness is satisfied !
But Bradley Cooper does speak french very well.
Cheers from Paris !
