First Look Pics Of Zoe Saldana & Bradley Cooper In Blacklist Plagiarism Project “The Words”

First Look Pics Of Zoe Saldana & Bradley Cooper In Blacklist Plagiarism Project "The Words"

Announced about a month ago… a film called The Words, which Zoe Saldana co-stars in alongside Bradley Cooper.

In the upcoming movie, currently in production, which was a Blacklist title (the annual list of Hollywood’s hottest un-produced screenplays), and was previously work-shopped at the Sundance Screenwriters’ Labs, the story follows a writer (Cooper) who, while at the peak of success, discovers the price he must pay for stealing another man’s work.

Kind of vague, but that’s all we got so far. I do know that it’s a thriller, although, for some reason, I initially figured it was a comedy. Nope. It’s full of drama and thrills.

At the time of my last post on this, no word on what role Zoe Saldana would play in the film. But maybe the pictures within this post (above and below) are a hint :)

The film is being directed by Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, in their directorial debut; they last penned the script for Tron: Legacy.

Jeremy Irons, Olivia Wilde and Dennis Quaid also co-star.

The project was shopped at the Cannes Film Festival last month, and it looks like they might have raised the necessary funds. Unless Cooper and Zoe really are together in real life, and these are just paparazzi shots of them strolling about town. In other words, no, they’re not.

No release date scheduled yet.

All of those you’ve mentioned aren’t considered “black” because they aren’t “African-American”. Sorry if it gets your goat, but the mainstream views non-American blacks and black Latino/as, if not racially ambiguous folks like Wentworth Miller or Maya Rudolph, as more palatable/accessible than regular black folks. Plus, black Brits have more fluidity in their careers–do you see any producers hopping to create a show like “Luther” for a black American actor?

@Gigi Young

So a Black person who is not black american is not Black?

Idris Elba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Isha Sesay, Thandie Newton, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Naomie Harris, Naomi Campbell… are not black people?

Or is this only for AFRO-latinos? And why? Let’s call a spade a spade(pun not intended).

Rosario Dawson was in Seven pound..WIll smith played her love interest,,U want to know more???

Nice pics – I’d like to hear more about the film though. Somehow I don’t really see him – Bradley Cooper? – as a dramatic actor, I see him as a comedy type. I still need to check out that Limitless movie.

Who cares about whether they’re an interracial couple or not? Give it a rest. They’re both hot, that’s what matters. Even if she had control over it, which she probably doesn’t, why would she be obligated to have black men as costars at all? Maybe this dude is more her to her taste.

And ‘Love Jones’ sucked.

Amazing what passes for “hot” nowadays.

It’s because she (and Rosario) aren’t considered “black” actresses, even as they fulfill that “black actress” quota, since they are black Latinas.

Interesting pairing. Like Cooper. Still can’t wait for two sexy black people to heat up the screen a la Love Jones.

After seeing Bradley in Limitless and and very interested. Everyone loves Zoe.

Two pretty people on the big screen? I’m in.

Love Zoe and I love “Will Tippen”. (Alias) :-)

re: synopsis, Shattered Glass-esque??? Nah, not really.

Still, I’ll rent this bad boy. The eye-candy on that pank rose is won-der-ful! And Brad is looking good, too. ;-)

@ saadiyah

My bad I know it is Zoe Saldana I ended up saying Zoe Kravitz instead. Oops (my bad) Yeah I am familiar w/ Premium, BlackOut and her other roles like Constellation.

But I was discussing about her big box office films her love interest predominantly white male leads.

@Lynn – the actress in the pictures is Zoe Saldana not Kravitz. She has starred in movies with non-White males as a love interest. In “Premium” she was with 2 Black men, and in “Blackout” she was also with a brother.

Oops I meant to say that was one of his ONLY non-comedic roles.

The movie sounds alright but it comes off as a comedy in a way Bradley Cooper? I mean he does a lot of comedy films I never saw “Limitless” and i know that was one of his ONLY that was NOT comedic movie.

Oh, and I never see Zoe Kravitz co-star w/ a non-white male love interest. It reminds me bit of Rosario Dawson they always put them alongside white love interests.

I hope it’s not a comedy b/c it definitely should not be. As a writer, plagiarism is something I wouldn’t want to endure… so playing it straight would raise my interest in seeing this movie.
