Happy Canada Day From The Hidden Cameras

I’m heading to an internet free Canada Day weekend, and what better way to do so then by posting this brand new video from Toronto’s Hidden Cameras, directed by Cameras’ frontman Joel Gibb, produced by Gibb, Daniel-Konrad Cooper and my bff Brad Horvath. Happy Canada Day:

Some info: The Hidden Cameras (whose baroque chamber-pop has seen them compared to Phil Spector and Belle and Sebastian) celebrate 10 years of making music with a headline show at London’s Barbican on July 2nd, which is part of a weekend’s worth of celebrations to mark Canada Day.

In advance of this show, here is their (just-released-today) music video for Do I Belong? from their current album Origin: Orphan. The video was directed by The Hidden Cameras’ frontman Joel Gibb, produced by Gibb, Daniel-Konrad Cooper and Brad Horvath and features Toronto-based artists Andrew Paterson, Luis Jacob and some other familiar faces from the Toronto art scene.
