While covering Comic-Con is a logistical nightmare, the folks who go there to pursue their muses are having a fab time. Herewith a sampling of costumes caught on the fly as I went about my chores. I particularly admired some of the folks coming out of a panel on Steampunk. Photo gallery is below.

The Black Swan and German girl get-ups are hysterical. Like they’re superheroes!

My daughter was at Comic Con and went to six TV panels and estimated the amount of time she spent on line for all the panels to be eleven hours.

They also upped the price for next year: $175 (up from $105!), so that may be a factor in whether or not she returns next year.

When she was a kid, I used to take her to comic conventions that were all about–strangely enough–comic books! And we didn’t have to wait on line to meet the artists.
