Funny to note that the animation and the music are way more “appetizing” than the shot of the actual cereal in a bowl.
This also strikes me as an example of something that was “hip” in its own time (a jazz arrangement to hawk really beige cereal!) navigating the march of time rather well because it was so well crafted in the first place.

I also have a soft spot for the CrackerJacks ditty.


I’ll bet this commercial was inspired by the Friz Freleng Warner Bros cartoon Little Little Bops which has maybe the best score ever for a WB catroon. Take a look:
