VH1 Will Explore Connection Between Hip-Hop And Cocaine In New Documentary

On September 18th, VH1 will air an original documentary titled Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation – a film which takes a hard look at the development of crack cocaine in the so-called urban community, featuring interviews with Snoop Dogg, Cyprus Hill’s B-Real, Wu-Tang Clan members RZA and Raekwon, and others.

The two-hour special will be narrated by Ice-T, who also serves as executive producer on the project.

Yeah, miss me with this one. I’m not interested and just don’t see this as a topic that needs to be explored or one that there is a wealth of accurate information on.

Lol @JMac

Some of these people involved (some of them I like/am ok with) do seem to just accept anything they’re asked to do that will reach a wide audience. Nice to be seen I guess. But Raekwon lost my respect with that blood diamond doc on VH1.

Hip Hop and what?! They’ve got to be kidding. I never considered Snoop Dog and Ice-T as hip hop artists.

And Ice-T needs to sit down somewhere, I’m tired of seeing/hearing about his one dimensional old ass.
