Mad Men star Christina Hendricks has two films coming into theaters this weekend, Refn’s thoughtful actioner Drive and romantic comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It, a flippant women’s movie about doing it all and doing it perfectly. After discussing her role in this supermom film, New York Magazine turned Christina Hendricks’ attention to a more literal version of Wonder Woman, to which she said:
“Sure! I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll—sorry, Aaron, you’re exposed. And Nicolas [Winding Refn] said, when we were on set, “I want you to be Wonder Woman.” And I think he is such an extraordinary and exceptional director, that if he asked me to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat.”
In New York Mag, Hendricks also discusses potential future casting, her part in the upcoming comedy Struck by Lightning, written by Glee‘s Chris Colfer, her philanthropic Emmy plans, and completing filming for the Mad Men‘s fifth season.
